Artist Statement
I enjoy capturing movement and color in my work. My current goal is to paint my watercolors in one courageous session. Instead of painting my watercolors in layers, I paint the lights, mid tones, and darks all at once. When the complicated, but beautiful horse is my subject matter, painting in this manor is even more of a challenge. In a world more and more influenced by Artificial Intelligence, the beauty is in the imperfections. It is a fun ride.
When painting in oil, I love mark making with the luscious paint. My goal is still lots of movement with rich color.
My hope is that my paintings will bring life to any room. That there will always be something new to see in the pieces.
